Another fine performance from a very well organised Alpha’s. Our pressing all over the pitch was simply excellent with everyone putting in a shift to close the ball, win tackles and more importantly individual battles. The desire and energy to match every challenge, keep moving the ball and play some excellent football was a clear difference today. Your efforts boys today deserved the reward of a fine win against tough opposition.
Excellent performance from the back four of James S, James H, Harrison and another great game from Aidan. Lovely to see a clean sheet in front of Thomas who wasn't really challenged at all.
Midfield worked their socks off today with superb performances across the middle of the park of Ben, Phoenix, Ollie, Lucas and an exceptional game from Will.
Up front we really are looking dangerous with Finn and Sam bagging a brace each and the movement and inter play from the pair is excellent.
Goals from Finn (2), Sam (2) and Will today not just secured three good points but our finishing was excellent.
Again, so many great performances but very hard to pick between the front two however, man of the match goes to Sam for an excellent performance today. Well done Sam!
Let’s keep the hard work going, it’s definitely paying off and we go again next Saturday in the 2nd round of the Youth Cup.
